Will this guarantee to prevent me catching a virus?
No, there are many ways in which you may catch a virus but the more ways in which you try to protect yourself and others, the better of course. The masks will reduce the amount of aerosol transmission from you to someone else and will offer some reduction in the aerosol particles you breathe in. It must be used in conjunction with good hygiene, awareness and social distancing.

Choosing the best fit is important and as a general rule of thumb we recommend that you order SMALL for children 12 and under, MEDIUM for teenagers and ladies and LARGE for gents, but as every face shape is different, it is impossible to create hard & fast rules.
So to get the best fit, you’ll need to take some measurements using a soft measuring tape ideally. The first is to measure from the bridge of the nose to just under the chin (a). Then measure the full width from ear to ear, across the tip of your nose (b). Do not include the ears in this measurement, just from where the ear meets your face.
See diagram below:
From your measurements, please see the chart below. Both measurements need to be within the parameters set-out in the table to be sure of the size. For small & medium sizes, if one measurement exceeds the guide and the other does not, it is best to choose the next size up. You don’t really want to end up with a mask that is too tight but it is still perfectly comfortable and functional using a size that is slightly larger.
